Not sure what it means...seems like they include TAu models in lots of 40k Codices, White Dwarfs, etc. But it would be awesome if they were the next codex. I'm just not expecting that.Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11680110160882762433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489945968592018737.post-73899935173618314782012-02-26T20:14:27.070-05:002012-02-26T20:14:27.070-05:00pssst. I recently took my infantry blood angels to Broadside Bash and did pretty well. Placed ninth in painting and was best overall blood angel player! I'm stoked since it was my first tournament ever.
Anyway, now that it's over, I'm itching all over to revive my tau army. The forgeworld updates on the tetra, sensor tower, and drone turret have me really excited about new builds since they open up the fast attack and reinforce the troops section. I was hoping to come to your blog and find some wisdom bits regarding them if you had checked them out.
Lastly, I see you've gotten into Infinity as well. I'm working for the JSA to take you down.urbanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10582114816249462823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489945968592018737.post-50699484892389262702012-02-20T09:50:19.697-05:002012-02-20T09:50:19.697-05:00The combi rifle Tiger is your least favorite? He's not as cool as the original SAS, but he's definitely one of my favorite sculpts in Yu Jing, especially prior to the Japanese stuff.

I like the strips on the shoulder pads. I still have my second one to paint, and the one with the HMG, so I think I'll borrow that idea, and go back and add it to my first one.

Whether you like this model or not, you did a great job on him.AoMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07834413388942295553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489945968592018737.post-22966943970563667412012-02-19T09:01:55.824-05:002012-02-19T09:01:55.824-05:00Martin, the version armed with the HMG certainly i...Martin, the version armed with the HMG certainly is a better choice but I made a huge mistake on priming him and ruined the model temporarily and haven't fixed him yet. Someday I'll get to him. For my Adepticon list, my SWC is fully booked by a hacker, Shang-JI with Spitfire.

Pete and Muskie, I'm using the only citadel inks in fact. Mine still have not dried out. I used balck ink, chesnut ink and a real old one rust brown. They were used in a more controlled way than washing. I actually carefully brushed them on to the areas I wanted, and blended them with a brush. The GW washes are great for some painters because you don't have to be so careful, you can blast the area with wash and it'll fall into the recesses natural. However, I find the color isn't as intense as you get with inks and when you're trying to control their application, they're more difficult. Yet neither system is better than the other, just depends on the painter.Timhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11680110160882762433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5489945968592018737.post-35854871396606789192012-02-19T09:01:46.991-05:002012-02-19T09:01:46.991-05:00Martin, the version armed with the HMG certainly i...Martin, the version armed with the HMG certainly is a better choice but I made a huge mistake on priming him and ruined the model temporarily and haven't fixed him yet. Particularly I quite like the pose of this model. How come you painted this and not the HGM one? He's been the MVP in so many of my games!
