The Joy of Airbrushing

Space Wolves get a new ride and I get more experience with the brush. Bestial brown weathering streaks from the airbrush and tin bits paint chipping. Simple. Effective. Happy painter.

That is one of the best if not best spacewolve weathering i seen! Please show us pictures when the details are done.

Ps. I really need to get an airbrush...!

Looks great! How fine an airbrush are you using on that brown streaking?

Hey Dan, it's a 0.5mm needle that comes with the iwata eclipse hp-cs. I think the same one you got. Tim

Quite nice Rhino!
What pressure did you use?
20 psi?

Well done! I love the used, but not jalopy look of it. I often feel vehicles are too weathered. I'm just about to the weathering stage on my Space Wolves Rhino/Razorback. I'd love more detail on how you went about this. Thinning ratio, psi setting (as asked above). Really great work!

Psi...hmm I don't really know exactly but it is less than 20. I thinned these paints down quite a bit with matte medium and water...probably the ratio is 2:1, thinner to paint from the pot. Main trick is being gentle on the trigger and on the streaks, I went from bottom up. I think that helps immensely.
