Blood Angels Update

I've almost completed my first Baal Predator - Rendor (spelled with an or at the end intentionally). There are a few finishing touches I've got to make on it-paint the optics, searchlight, etc, maybe some more scribing on the hull. Here it is...Twin linked Assault Cannon and Double Heavy Bolters. I've chosen not to add the storm bolter upgrade because I wanted to keep its point cost down. I did leave the top hatch unglued so I can switch that out if I decide later that its a good investment in points. Looking to add another one to my Blood Angels List soon.

Speeder is done but I need to 'ard coat it. This model, while painted and nice looking, has been retired from my list unless I expect a fight against Orks. Otherwise it just isn't worth the 100 points you have to drop on it.

Very nice. Good shading and highlighting.

Yah, unless you have 3 speeders suck. Try to get more Baal Preds on the table and yes, the Storm Bolter is worth it. :) Jawaballs

Nice job on those reds.

Thanks guys! The reds are done with the Citadel Spray gun and Valejo colors - Carmine Red to be exact.

Speeders are good with multimeltas and that's it. For contesting objective turn 5 of course. Lone speeders just die.

Sweet, another Blood Angels blog. They look excellent, keep up the good work!

Quick question - how come you went for Speeders rather than Attack Bikes, when they cost 25pts more each?

Actually it's funny you should ask that. I'm in the process of acquiring and painting 2 attack bikes with Mulitmelta to replace this one speeder. I'll still have another Speeder in the list though, with Heavy Flamer and Melta because I've found that one very useful.

Blood Angels speeders are 50 points base by the way. For either the Heavy bolter or MultiMelta. So they're only 15 points cheaper than a basic speeder.

Speeder are great for contesting objectives at the end of the game so that's why I am going to keep at least one. Slightly better than attack bikes because of the skimmer rules. Still it seems attack bikes are more durable than speeders.

Ah, I was sure that they costed 75pts, at 65pts they're not bad at all, and immune to small arms fire.

I've got the attack bikes to work on myself, but I've run out of Black Spray!

sorry i meant attack bikes are 50 with either melta or heavy bolter...oops
