Space Wolves: Minute Marines Trial

Here's a pic of some Space Wolves I am doing for a friend here locally. Basically he is buying me new Dark Eldar models and I am painting his figs.

I thought it would be a good chance to see how quickly I can put out some high-quality Space Wolves, while trying out my Minute Marines method.

I've set up 10 Grey Hunters, all armed identically, for a quick-paint trial. First step was to do all the airbrush work. Here I've used Vallejo Model Air: German Grey as a base, done an angled top-down coat of Codex Grey and then a straight top-down spray of Vallejo Model Air: Pale Blue.

Then I went to work in shading some areas with black and doing some quick out-lining, before I put down the rest of the colors. This model represents about 2 1/2 hours of work, including the basing of gluing my custom sand mixture and slate rocks. Well, it's 10 guys at once so...don't judge yet. I'll keep counting the time and let you know once they are all finished.

Here is from a different background, somewhat desaturated for some reason. Almost black and white. There's more blue in this guy then this photo shows.

Yep. Dark Eldar. Well, I have a TON of Dark Eldar models now. I need to get going on them. Still dreaming up color schemes, while flipping through my Brom artbooks...definitely thinking something very Brom for them...

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for the Dark Eldar.

The space wolf looks slick. I can see the blue/grey on the top, but barely. If you took these with your IPhone then check your camera lens. It could have dust or a finger print smudge on it, by the look of the glare in both photos.
Two and a half hours for 10 guys is really fast. It'd take me a week. lol ,.. and that's a week doing ten at once.

Please post follow-up pictures when you finish them Tim.
